Subject Description

Digitally Enhanced Learning Technology (Nature of Technology) is about enhancing students’ use of digital technology.

We now live in a digitally enhanced world with its own unique pitfalls and challenges. This means that we need to understand the digital world in order to thrive and be successful.

The course will challenge students to consider the environmental, social and cultural impact of these technologies.

Digital Enhanced Learning Technology will help students in all of their studies and could lead to Year 10 Digital Technologies course.

This course is one term, approximately 10 weeks, in length.

The course includes:

Using devices:

•    Keyboard skills

•    Health & safety

Understanding some of the issues:

•    How we are connected (via internet), using the connections & copyright issues

•    Environmental issues

•    digital footprints

•    using devices

Presenting information:

•    Communication using both text & images

•    Design layout (basic)
