Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms K. Smith, Ms K. Grieve.

Students will make artworks using ideas and specific techniques to develop a skill set that celebrates the connection between ‘My Identity and Place’. They will ferment knowledge of art in Aotearoa New Zealand’s Māori foundational context to develop their ideas. Artworks will be made from personal experiences, one’s own culture and use of significant symbolism. Students can make artworks for our Student Exhibition, exhibited at a local gallery. Students can only take 1ART or 1DVA.

Preferred Prior Learning
